PHOENIX — A shooting in central Phoenix on Friday night left a man with serious injuries, according to the city's police department. Phoenix police officers responded to a call for shots fired just before 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers were first called to a business in the area of 7th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 8:30 a.m., where one person was found with a gunshot wound. Police say the person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Later in the day, the man died from his injuries.
