Pa. House vacancies leave 2023 power, leadership in question

Last week in the House of Representatives we held a vote on an amendment to the Pennsylvania Constitution that would allow abortion until birth. Out of the 203 legislators in the House there may have been 120 of my colleagues in attendance. It is unacceptable that members will not show up and do their job - especially for a vote as important as this one. This week at the State Capitol I presided over the House of Representatives as Speaker Pro Tempore and signed the last bills associated with the conclusion of our budget and other legislation that was sent to the Governor for his signature into law.
